Community Consultation on Council's Proposed By-laws 2026
Council’s current suite of By-laws have expired and, therefore, there is a need to review them and to adopt new By-laws for the subsequent seven years. These proposed By-laws have been developed to replace the existing By-laws which are required to undergo an agency and public consultation process as required by the Act.
Council endorsed the following draft By-laws for consultation including, but not limited to, some key changes as described:
- By-law 1: Permits and Penalties
- By-law 2: Dogs
- By-law 4: Local Government Land
- By-law 5: Moveable Signs
- By-law 6: Roads
- By-law 7: Waste Management
By-law 3: Cats was made on 25 May 2022 and remains in force until 1 January 2030 and is not included in this consultation.
